For New Dentists
The purpose of the MDA Committee on the New Dentists is the integration of dentists less than 10 years out of dental school into dental practice and organized dentistry. It is the duty of this committee to identify the special needs of the new dentists and propose practical and feasible activities, which will enable the MDA in meeting these needs.
The following programs and activities are supported and/or sponsored by the MDA New Dentist Committee:
ADA Conference on the New Dentist
This annual conference gives attendees the opportunity to network with their peers and learn from experts in the dental profession. This unique opportunity to learn and grow professionally is provided by the Committee on the New Dentist with the support of the
ADA and generous sponsors. The MDA Committee on the New Dentist provides financial assistance for the committee chairman to attend this annual conference.
Contact Dentist Network - District Representatives on CND
The goal of the component contact dentist program is to have one or two dentists in each district contact new dentists to familiarize them with the services and programs offered by the
Mississippi Dental Association.
Roadmap to a Successful Dental Practice
The MDA designed the Roadmap specifically for the newly practicing dentists, as a one-stop resource guide for information on common practice issues and MDA member benefits. To download a copy of the MDA Roadmap Guide click here.
Board Exam Survival Kits
At board exam time or regional exam testing time the students from the state dental schools are presented with a board survival treat along with a note of encouragement from the MDA.
