Tree of Life Update and Request
03/09/11
Greetings from Duple
I hope all is well throughout the state. I am ready for a little more spring weather, as I expect you all are. We are finalizing our building plans for our new dental clinic that we are adding to our existing Tree of Life Medical Clinic. For those of you not aware, this is a free clinic here in Duple that provides medical services to patients regardless of their ability to pay. They operate the first Wed and third Sat of the month.
I have received so many equipment donations from across the state. In fact, we now have enough equipment for 3 ops!!!!!! what a blessing indeed!!! I will begin moving this equipment in the near future as we have secured storage while we build.
With the spring time rolling in, I was hoping some of you did a little spring cleaning in your clinics. I need to begin collecting surgical instruments and supplies. This will be an acute clinic, preforming extractions only. We need syringes, elevators and forceps of ALL kinds, suture forceps and scissors, mirror and explorers, hemostats, tissue and cotton roll forceps, surgical suction tips, air/water tips......you get the picture!!!!! I would LOVE to also 'inherit' a surgical hand piece.
If any of you out there have even ONE instrument, we could put it to great use. Plus, I am giving you permission to go buy that new forcep you have been wanting to get for the past year, but just never wanted to 'come off the pocket book'!!! HA Please just box it up and mail to me with your name, contact information and a description of donation. That way I can let you know I received your donation and get you a receipt for your tax records. I will continue to keep everyone informed of our progress.
Again, thanks for all of the donations, and encouraging words that you are sending our way.
