Dr. Paula Stewart Strange Elected 139th President of Mississippi Dental Association
On July 1st, 2014 Dr. Paula Stewart Strange will take her seat in office as the 139th president of the Mississippi Dental Association.
Dr. Paula Stewart Strange is a native of Raymond, MS. She received a certificate of Dental Hygiene in 1981 from University of Mississippi School of Health Related Professions. After practicing for 14 years and 3 children later, she returned to University of Mississippi School of Dentistry where she became a 1995 Cum Laude graduate and for 16 years practiced as a sole practitioner at Paula Stewart, D.M.D. & Assoc. In June 2012, she relocated her practice from Clinton, MS to Highland Village in Jackson, MS.
Paula has always been active in the dental organizations, the community, and the church. Recently she served as President of the District IV Dental Society, MDA Elected Alternate Delegate to the American Dental Association and the MDA Board of Trustees. She is a past President to the Mississippi Dental Alumni Association, and is still serving as a board member. Paula will be the second female to serve as an elected president of the MDA.
She is a lifetime member of The Guardian Society, a Fellow of the American College of Dentists and the Pierre Fauchard Academy member, member of Mississippi Association of Women Dentists, American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, and the Jackson Dental Study Club. Paula has also previously served as a Governor appointed board member of the MS Radiation Advisory Council.
