(CHCs) are not-for-profit clinics that offer dental services to all community residents, regardless of income or insurance. CHCs charge a reduced fee based on a person’s income and family size.

Donated Dental Services
The Mississippi Donated Dental Services (DDS) Program provides free, comprehensive dental care through volunteer dental providers. Dental care is provided to people who because of serious disability, advanced age, or medical problems lack adequate income to pay for needed dental care. Your child or teen may qualify for no-cost or low-cost health insurance coverage through Medicaid and the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP). Many parents may also be eligible.

The MDA is not able to guarantee the provision of dental treatment or services at these locations. Individuals seeking assistance must contact the individual clinics, make application for services and also meet the established criteria to be eligible for dental services.

Jackson Metro Area: The Jackson Free Clinic
is a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation operated by the medical students of the University of Mississippi Medical Center School of Medicine in cooperation with local physicians and community leaders. The Jackson Free Clinic is dedicated to treating those who have no insurance and cannot otherwise afford medical care. To schedule an appointment call (601)355-5161 between 11:30AM and 4PM on Saturday. If you leave a message, please include your name, phone number, and request. Provides free care to those adults who have no form of medical
reimbursement, i.e., no insurance, Medicare, Medicaid, Veterans
Benefits, etc. Some restrictions will apply to dental care. Their

Central Mississippi -First Baptist Church - Pharmacy, Medical and Dental Clinic
601-636-2493 Mafan Building, 1315 Adams Street, Vicksburg
Open the 3rd Thursday evening of every month. The clinic is run by volunteer dentists, doctors, nurses, and social workers. Patients are seen starting at 5:00pm, until they run out of supplies. Appointments are on a first come first seen basis. No age guidelines. No fees are charged and patients can not have any other insurance coverage. Medicaid included.
The Dental Clinic usually has 3 to 4 dentists who volunteer
each month. They only provide extractions. Some screenings and x-rays
are performed if the volunteers determine the tooth can be saved. The
clinic volunteers will try to refer the patient to a regular dental
office, the primary health care center or the dental school as a first
resort before extraction.

Northeast Mississippi - Tree of Life - 662-841-8777 541 W. Main St. Tupelo.
The Tree of Life Clinic is a “first come, first served” clinic held the first Wednesday (starting at 5pm) and the third Saturday (starting at 9am) of each month. This clinic is for those patients NOT covered by Medicare, Medicaid or private insurance. All dental appointments are made by referrals per the staff of The Tree of Life medical clinic. That means the patients must first be seen by a physician at the clinic. At this time, the dental treatment provision includes acute care only - extractions, treatment for infections and minor lesion removals. No restorative or preventative treatment is provided for now.

Southeast Mississippi - Pearl River Community College - Dental Hygiene Clinic -Exams,
x-rays, cleaning, sealants, fluoride treatments and oral cancer
screenings. The Clinic is located on the north side of the Allied Health
Center at the Forrest County Center in Hattiesburg. $25 for adults, $20

Smiles Change Lives
Smiles Change Lives (SCL) is a national nonprofit organization that provides access to orthodontic treatment for children whose families cannot afford the full cost of braces. Click here

Alliance of the ADA – Senior Smiles Program

Partnership for Prescription Assistance
The Partnership for Prescription Assistance brings together America’s
pharmaceutical companies, doctors, other health care providers, patient
advocacy organizations and community groups to help qualifying patients
who lack prescription coverage get the medicines they need through the
public or private program that’s right for them. Many will get them free
or nearly free. PPA's mission is to increase awareness of patient
assistance programs and boost enrollment of those who are eligible. To
