Why should I be a member of the MDA? What has the MDA ever done for me? Those are questions we are posed regularly and rightfully so. An organization that is formed by members to serve members should be able to easily answer those questions.  

The reality is that the list of services and activities that we provide on behalf of members is long and varied. It would almost be easier to list what we do not do versus try to name it all. Our association serves as the connection point for the profession of dentistry in our state. It is all about making those connections on behalf of our dentist members.

Those connections include being that contact point for dentists, the community, state agencies, media, other professional groups and the general public. The MDA office is a busy place. Communications are also a large part of our service to our members. We do our best to stay informed of the things that impact dentistry in Mississippi and in turn inform each of you.

The organization of our MDA councils also provides insight into the services we offer. From endorsements, to supportive services, to peer review and governmental advocacy activities, again our services are numerous. Our philosophy is that we want to represent our dentists and be your voice in all areas. In doing that, we provide each of you the time to do what you are trained to do, treat patients and not have to worry about who is going to do all of the other activities on behalf of the profession.
