In November 2010 the MDA Foundation was formed to improve the oral health of all Mississippians by supporting the dental profession and its efforts to meet community needs.  In July of 2011  with the help of our members and a number of generous sponsors we were able to provide the first Mission of Mercy in our state.

altAEDs - MDA Provides Members Business Resource Connections
On 08/06/2010, the Mississippi State Board of Dental Examiners amended Board Regulation 45 (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation). The regulation now requires all dental offices have a minimum of one (1) Automated External Defibrillator (AED), or equivalent defibrillator, on or before 07/01/2012.

Bulletin from the MS Insurance DepartmentA few months ago, the MDA Board appointed a task force to address an increasing number of dental insurance challenges that were being reported to the MDA office by our members.   We were notified that a bulletin was officially sent to dental insurers on May 17, 2011 by the MS Insurance Department.
