Classified ads will be published on the Mississippi Dental Association web site for one quarter, and printed in the next available MDA Insider publication.

  • Classified ads are placed at no cost to MDA members.
  • Non-member cost is $100.00 for a maximum 60 words.
    Payment by company or bank check only.
    An invoice will be issued and sent by email upon submission of ad copy.

Payment for advertisements must be received in the Mississippi Dental Association office, prior to ad copy being published and posted on the web site.

Dental Assistant Needed - Mission First Medical and Dental Clinic – Jackson, MS

Job Type: Full-Time / Part-Time
Reports To: Dental Clinic Manager / Lead Dentist
Salary: $18-23/hour, based on experience

Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dental Assistant to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate will assist our dental professionals in delivering excellent care to patients, while upholding the clinic’s Christian values of kindness, service, and integrity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare patients for dental procedures and provide chairside assistance during treatments
  • Sterilize instruments and maintain a clean and organized treatment environment
  • Take dental radiographs (X-rays) as directed
  • Record patient medical and dental histories and update charts accurately
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
  • Schedule patient appointments and assist with front desk duties as needed
  • Ensure compliance with all infection control and OSHA standards
  • Support a welcoming and respectful environment for patients of all backgrounds
  • Participate in prayer, team devotions, or other spiritual activities, as appropriate and in alignment with clinic culture

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Completion of a dental assistant training program
  • Current X-ray certification (as required by state law)
  • CPR certification required
  • Prior experience in a dental setting strongly preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Commitment to serving with compassion and professionalism
  • Agreement with and support for the clinic’s Christian mission and values
