The Mississippi Mission of Mercy (MS MOM) project is a large-scale free clinic offering dental extractions and fillings for adults ages 18 and above who have limited access to dental care through insurance or other means. There are no income or eligibility requirements for patients.
The next Mississippi MOM clinic will be held at the Leflore County Civic Center, located at 200 Highway 7 North in Greenwood on June 28-29. Clinic hours on Friday, June 28, are 7:00 am to 6:00 pm and on Saturday, June 29, from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm. Patients will be treated on a first come, first served basis.
MS MOM clinics are staffed by volunteers including dentists, dental hygienists, dental assistants, dental students from the UMMC School of Dentistry, laboratory technicians and scores of community volunteers. Our goal is to treat 800 patients over two days, so we need a cadre of dental professionals to donate their time.
For more information about the MOM project, call the Mississippi Dental Association at 601-664-9691.Previous Performance at a Glance
